ENcome Engineering supports Irish PV Pipeline

ENcome Engineering has recently supported a PV project pipeline of 120 MWp in Ireland. A total of 11 projects were applied for in the RESS1 auction round, a scheme to support renewable energy investors.

The pipeline development in Ireland was initiated early 2020 with a view to implement several hundred MWp of PV projects. In the first auction round, the client decided to apply for 11 of those projects that already had completed initial development steps. ENcome Engineering was retained as technical consultant to optimize layouts for those PV projects. Focus was set on grid limitations, terrain, technical restrictions and respective yield simulations. Further support was given by bringing forward a Request for Proposal (RfP) which aims at qualifying EPC companies for upcoming project execution phases.

Auction results from August 4th 2020 showed that all 11 projects have been awarded a tariff, so the client, with the assistance of ENcome Engineering, can prepare for further steps to be taken within the coming months.
